Mercyta is a research associate at the CCSF Universitas Indonesia. Her research focuses on the nexus of governance, political economy, and climate transitions in Indonesia. She was a member of the expert team that drafted the academic background paper for a special autonomy regulation (Perdasus) on endowment funds for sustainability in West Papua Province, Indonesia. Mercyta received professional training in climate finance from Griffith University, Australia, where she attained a full-ride short-course scholarship from the Australia Awards. She has a Master's Degree in Environmental Politics from the University of Edinburgh.
