About the project

South Sulawesi has lost significant mangrove cover to aquaculture conversion. Restoration is technically well understood; financing it durably is not.

The project develops restoration cost curves, tests blue carbon crediting feasibility under Indonesian tenure conditions, and designs a revenue model that keeps community groups solvent between crediting cycles.
