About the project

Indonesia has received results-based payments for verified emission reductions, channelled through BPDLH. How much reaches the communities that manage the forest remains poorly documented.

This project follows the money through every institutional layer in Central Kalimantan and produces the first end-to-end account of benefit distribution.

Objectives

Map the full disbursement chain from national fund to village
Quantify transaction costs at each institutional layer
Survey 400 households in 20 forest-adjacent villages
Recommend a revised benefit-sharing mechanism
